Connecticut heavy-hitting duo TURKEY VULTURE is back with their latest release, Dead To Me, a raw, riff-fueled two-song EP that blends punk’s rebellious energy, doom’s crushing weight, and stoner rock’s hazy groove. This release delivers a fierce, unapologetic sound that lingers long after the final note.

The title track, “Dead To Me,” carries a folk-infused feel with a raw punk edge, exploring changing friendships with a melancholic yet defiant tone. While rooted in Americana storytelling, it subtly embraces the grit of punk, the heaviness of doom, and the groove of stoner rock, making it both reflective and rebellious.

The second track, a heavier, doom-laden take on “Jill The Ripper,” reimagines the haunting acoustic version from On The List. This rendition cranks up the intensity with crushing riffs, gritty punk aggression, and harsh, unrelenting vocals, amplifying the raw anger in the main character’s story. The transformation from folk to a dark, riff-driven assault highlights the band’s signature fusion of brooding doom, rebellious punk, and thick stoner grooves, making this an emotionally charged standout.

With Dead To Me, TURKEY VULTURE continues to push boundaries, delivering a release that is both sonically diverse and emotionally raw. TURKEY VULTURE is a Milford, CT-based duo blending punk energy, doom metal grit, and Americana storytelling since 2019. Comprised of Jessie May (vocals, guitar, bass) and Jim Clegg (drums, backing vocals), the band channels influences like Misfits, Social Distortion, and Motorhead into a raw and unpolished sonic force.
