“Twisted” : French Alt-Rock Quartet September Again Turns Up the Tension

New full-length album coming out soon. For fans of Archive, Deftones, Incubus, Thrice, Massive Attack…

Just weeks after their immersive video Mirrors, September Again returns with Twisted—a raw, volatile new single that pushes their sonic and emotional intensity into uncharted territory.

Rooted in a sense of old ambition and urgent energy, Twisted is the sound of reckoning: with the self, with conflict, with the consequences of what we unleash. Sharp as broken glass and simmering with unease, it captures the moment before impact—when fear turns to fire, and words become weapons.

Following their recent string of releases—CyanDistorted and Sweet, and MirrorsTwisted marks a darker pivot in the band’s narrative arc. It’s less about reflection and more about ignition. A grenade returned. A boomerang of blame and desire. The chain reaction you can’t undo.

Still tethered to their post-punk and dream-pop roots, September Again continues to evolve—embracing a sound that’s as emotionally volatile as it is cinematic.

Twisted is where it sparks. Or where it settles. Where it all begins again.

Listen to Twisted. Let it turn.

…For the record…

In the pipe since 2012 as an hybrid project between alternative-rock, trip-hop, metal, post-rock and electronics, September Again officially born in 2015 and only two years later gave birth to a first full-length record called ‘Insomniac’  after  already  releasing  the  single  “Falls”.

Very well received, this first album invited the band to pursue in its direction and this is what the musicians did by releasing their sophomore full-length in 2020 with ‘From Nothing to Nowere’.

Nothing could stop the band – not even a global pandemic – so after playing the album on stage all across the French territory, the band returned in studio to record a third album.

Now the time has come to enlarge the picture and extend the band’s audience…
