V★Silver is the New York–based shimmering alter ego of singer, songwriter, and record producer Vanessa Silberman. Her music fuses prism-colored alt-pop with pastel-glossed, blooming melodies — filled with radiant synths, cinematic textures, and raw, honest lyrics that build tension through heart-forward emotion.
On her self-produced EP Side A, The Cost of Light, V★Silver explored the brighter, pop-facing half of the album, touching on themes of empowerment, courage, beauty, ambition, and emotional connection, while also wrestling with the sacrifices required to evolve and live fully in the light.
“Ordinary” is the third single from Side B, Everything I Couldn’t Say, part of the forthcoming full-length album The Cost of Light and Everything I Couldn’t Say.
Built on acoustic guitar and haunting, wind-like slide bends, the track begins with bare-bones production and gradually expands into light synths, keys and hypnotic percussion. The arrangement supports its empowering and optimistic message: be yourself, think bigger, trust your vision, and don’t settle for ordinary — even if the world says it’s unrealistic.
Together, The Cost of Light and Everything I Couldn’t Say form a full album built around dual truths: light and shadow, empowerment and vulnerability, shimmer and bare-souled honesty — created for dreamers chasing hope, healing, and the next version of themselves.
The Cost of Light and Everything I Couldn’t Say will release on Success Records Friday, July 17th, 2026.
“Everything I Couldn’t Say is billed as the more meditative side of the album, trading in the glittering synth pop textures of Side A for a plaintive sound rooted in acoustic instrumentation and vulnerable lyricism.”– Under the Radar
“Ladyhawke’s magical euphoria colliding with Robyn’s heart-on-sleeve electro-pop and Cibo Matto’s art-pop sensibilities, straight out of a Girls episode circa 2007” – SPIN Magazine
V★Silver is the New York–based shimmering alter ego of singer, songwriter, and record producer Vanessa Silberman. Her music fuses prism-colored alt-pop with pastel-glossed, blooming melodies, radiant synths, cinematic textures, and raw, honest lyrics that build emotional tension through heart-forward storytelling.
Her debut single “Chasing Magic” marked the launch of the project — a heart-charged pop gem crafted for anyone who believes in chasing the unseen. Co-produced and mixed by Justin Hergett (Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Shiny Toy Guns) alongside Silberman, the track introduced listeners to a sonic world of longing, love, and transformation.
Across her self-produced releases — with the exception of “Chasing Magic” — V★Silver explores emotional duality, transforming heartbreak into shimmer and gold while embracing vulnerability, self-acceptance, and the courage to live authentically. Musically, the project blends ’70s and ’80s anthemic pop influences with dream pop textures and modern production.
These songs form Side A: The Cost of Light — the brighter half of a two-part body of work exploring empowerment, beauty, ambition, and emotional connection, while acknowledging the sacrifices required to evolve and live fully in the light.
Side B: Everything I Couldn’t Say, part of the full-length album The Cost of Light and Everything I Couldn’t Say, reveals a quieter, rawer, and more stripped-down side of Silberman’s artistry, weaving together acoustic guitar, country-inspired textures, hypnotic percussion, haunting strings, airy synths, and harp, with some moments featuring only Vanessa accompanied by guest cellist Michelle Rose.
These arrangements support an empowering yet vulnerable message — embracing individuality, questioning politics, speaking your truth, and softly letting go of heartbreak.

Outside of V★Silver, Silberman has toured extensively as a solo artist, performing over 800 shows between 2015 and 2020, while independently releasing numerous EPs and singles. She is the founder of A Diamond Heart Production, a label established in 2014 that has released more than 140 records, and has built a career as an accomplished record producer and engineer.Silberman is also one half of the cinematic alt-pop duo Lovecolor alongside actor and musician Ryan Carnes, continuing to expand her creative world through immersive songwriting, lush production, and emotionally fearless artistry.
