American heavymetallers UNKNOWN present
“Reverie Code” lyric video, the third single off their
upcoming sophomore album.

Unknown (CT, USA) forge their sound from the same iron that shaped the golden era of
heavy metal. Crushing riffs smoothed out with soaring melodies and emotive vocals — that’s
the mission, and the band executes it without apology or irony. Formed by guitarist and
primary songwriter Aamir, The Unknown channel the spirit of the genre’s most enduring
architects while carving out a sound that is entirely their own.
The band released their debut record, Vanishing Point on GoldenCore Records, the German
label responsible for some of the most respected reissues and new releases in the traditional
metal underground. That relationship was built on the strength of the music alone, and it set
the tone for everything that followed.
Now Unknown unleash “Reverie Code”, the third and final single before the upcoming
premiere of “Graveyard Of Empires” on September 4.
Guitarist Aamir Syed comments: “This song was heavily inspired by the Westworld show. I’m a
huge sci-fi fan, and the first season of that show was everything I love about the genre.
When Matt and I were working on this one, we wanted to explore the themes surrounding
Dolores’ “awakening,” the nature of consciousness, and that blurred line between creator
and creation.
In the show, “reveries” were subtle gestures programmed into the hosts that allowed
fragments of their past memories to surface. We thought that was the perfect concept to
build the title around.
Musically, yes, this song is crushingly heavy, but believe it or not, I pulled some melodic
ideas from Kansas, and some of Matt’s vocal phrasing actually reminded me of Rush. And
then some Bruce Dickinson and Blaze bayley solo stuff. So somehow, it feels simultaneously
vintage and modern. We’re really proud of this one.”

Quebec City speedmetallers MEURTRIER
herald their debut album with “Meurtrier”
single

Forged in the shadows of Québec City in 2023, Meurtrier emerged from the ranks
of seasoned veterans of the Québec and Montréal metal underground with one
objective: to resurrect the fierce spirit of classic heavy and speed metal through a
distinctly French-Canadian lens.

Drawing inspiration from the savage energy of mid-’80s European and American
metal, Meurtrier delivers a dark and relentless assault of razor-sharp riffs,
pounding rhythms, and haunting melodies, all carried by French-language lyrics
steeped in occult mysticism and epic grandeur. Their sound blends the raw
aggression of speed metal with the atmosphere and weight of traditional heavy
metal, creating a universe both menacing and triumphant.
Following the release of their first demo in 2024 through Jawbreaker Records, the
band returns in 2026 with a renewed lineup and visual signature as well as
their debut full-length album, Messe de Fer (French for Iron Mass).
The current incarnation of Meurtrier features Will Verreault and Martin Paquet on
guitars, Tony Verreault on vocals, Jeff Tremblay on bass, and Randy behind the

drums — a five-piece force driven by passion, intensity, and unwavering devotion
to the steel of a bygone era.
Despite only a handful of live appearances so far, Meurtrier has already earned a
reputation for high-energy performances fueled by the relentless momentum of
their songs and the commanding charisma of frontman Tony Verreault. On stage,
the band channels pure metallic ferocity, leaving audiences caught between
darkness, speed, and fire.
With their debut album looming on the horizon, Meurtrier stands ready to carve
its name into the global new wave of true heavy metal!

Austrian melodic thrashers STATE OF STRIFE debut with
“The Hypocrite” full-length.

With the Austrian melodic thrashers’ debut album already complete and a second record
already preparing to enter the studio, State of Strife are entering a defining new chapter.
What began as five teenagers making music for the sheer love of it has evolved into
something far more focused and powerful. Over time, the band has sharpened its sound,
strengthened its identity, and committed fully to their craft.
As they prepare to unveil their debut album and continue building momentum with album

Polish thrashers Keg Thrower stream their
new album in its entirety

Keg Thrower was founded in 2023 in Szamotuły (Greater Poland) by Patryk Wajs. Initially, it
was a solo project focusing on instrumental thrash metal.
After the release of the debut album “instruMENTAL” in 2024, Patryk decided to expand the
lineup and transform the project into a full-fledged band. At the end of 2024, initial work on a
new album began, and Karol Gnybek, drummer (ex-Zagłada), joined the band. Shortly
thereafter, Darek Bądkowski (bass, ex-Scrat, Cisza jak ta) joined. Both decided to contribute
additional vocals, which added a unique touch to KT’s sound.
In 2025, a second guitarist, Michał Grzebyk (ex-Zagłada), joined the band. The work on the
album, titled “Beczkomiot,” was completed in 2026. The second Keg Thrower album was
released on April 6th.
Keg Thrower is a band that doesn’t limit itself to specific musical genres. They experiment
and play with music that’s based on thrash metal, but also incorporates influences from
classical music, funk, and heavy metal.

projekt w prawowity zespół. Keszcze pod koniec roku 2024 rozpoczęte zostały pierwsze
prace nad nowym albumem, a do kapeli dołączył Karol Gnybek, perkusista (ex-Zagłada).
Krótko potem przybył Darek Bądkowski (bass, ex-Scrat , Cisza jak ta). Obaj postanowili
wnieść do zespołu dodatkowe wokale, co dodało brzmieniu KT nuty unikalności,
W 2025 roku do zespołu dołączył drugi gitarzysta, Michał Grzebyk (ex-Zagłada). Prace nad
albumem pod tytułem “Beczkomiot” dobiegły końca w 2026. Premiera odbyła sie 6 kwietnia.

Keg thrower to zespół, który nie zamyka się na konkretne schematy i gatunki muzyczne.
Eksperymentuje i bawi się muzyką, której fundament opiera się na thrash metalu, ale można
tam wyłapać sporo wpływów muzyki klasycznej, funku oraz klasycznego heavy.

Achilles Steel formed in Iowa in 1985 and quickly became a force in the Midwest metal underground.
