Fronted by bandleader Randy Michael, he has affectionately described the group’s music as “very romantic” but with “a lot of dissonances.” Michael’s musical style is informed by his extensive experience as a songwriter and producer, as well as a touring musician.
Collaborations and influences in Michael’s career includes working with a wide range of artists. He has toured with Butch Walker, Curtis Harding, and Mattiel. He also co-wrote and produced Mattiel’s breakout album and supported her on tour with Jack White. His work extends to other genres as well, having toured with Bruno Mars and having been a bass player for Public Enemy. He was also a member of the band The Booze. Michael’s admiration for David Bowie is a key inspiration, with the bandleader viewing each of Bowie’s songs as a set piece.
