Violet Dusk, the rising alt-rock/metal powerhouse, is back with her electrifying new single “Beauty is a Killer”, available now. Fans of Deftones, In This Moment, and Bring Me The Horizon are in for a sonic punch, as Violet delivers her signature blend of intense energy, melodic hooks, and emotional depth. Produced by Sean Dalke, the track is both hard-hitting and deeply personal.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Hannah (Violet Dusk) shares:
“I wanted to use this platform for something many artists within metal don’t really explore, which is body image issues and the beauty standards imposed upon women. I’ve watched so many women compare themselves to one another and tear each other down. I wanted to shine a light on that, as well as the eating disorders and mental illness we as women—and people in general—face. My hope is that through my brand and fanbase I can create an uplifting space, generating a more positive narrative within the metal community at times.”
From vocal training at just five years old to performing with local bands and pursuing formal studies in music at Manchester Community College and Full Sail University, Violet Dusk has been refining her craft for years. Her solo career, launched in 2022, began with the debut single “Bury it Down”, showcasing her unique vision of energetic, alternative-tinged rock.
With “Beauty is a Killer”, Violet pushes her sound even further—melding aggressive riffs, haunting melodies, and compelling lyrical themes that balance raw intensity with heartfelt vulnerability. Her music is more than sound—it’s a movement. Each release carves out a space where honesty, empowerment, and heavy music collide, solidifying Violet Dusk as one of the most dynamic new voices in modern rock.
